New In-House Role – Funds Lawyer – West End Global Asset Management – 6+PQE
My client is a global asset management business based in the west end looking to hire a funds lawyer on a permanent basis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Negotiating investment management agreements,
- Providing advice regarding various UK and EU rules and regulations, including FCA rules and regulations, MiFID II, AIFMD, SMCR and the rules and regulations applicable to UCITS,
- Reviewing marketing materials and providing advice regarding cross-border marketing, including issues arising out of Brexit,
- Providing legal support with respect to managed futures and systematic trading, including ,negotiation of trading agreements (FCM agreements, ISDAs, etc.),
- Advising on commingled fund legal structures and documentation in various jurisdictions.
A strong candidate should have at least 6 years post qualification experience, extensive legal experience in the areas of asset management, investment funds, and securities, commodities and derivatives transactions, and extensive and sophisticated knowledge of UK and EU regulations applicable to asset managers.
