Interim In-House Role – Regulatory – Director Level – Global Financial Institution
My client is a top tier global financial institution looking to hire a regulatory lawyer at director level on an interim basis to cover maternity.
The overall purpose is of this role is to lead Legal advisory support to the Group Strategy team and other stakeholders of the Strategy and Bank Structure Legal team, overseeing and advising on elements of design of the business in light of:
- (i) Structural Reform and Brexit,
- (ii) other regulatory and commercial drivers impacting the shape and organisation of the group entity architecture.
In addition, the role holder will lead the regulatory advocacy agenda and engagement relating to the foregoing in conjunction with the Government Relations and Regulatory Policy teams.
A strong candidate should be able to demonstrate significant legal experience gained in-house or in a challenging private practice environment, with strong experience in EU and UK financial services and bank regulatory law. Extensive knowledge and interest in relation to finance or banking law or previous experience in financial sector is also necessary.
