Asset Management / Funds Lawyer
My client is a well known asset management business looking to hire a regulatory funds lawyer on an initial 6 month fixed term contract.
The role will require the candidate to advise on legislative and regulatory changes affecting the AI business.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the UK management company and support fund initiatives.
- Provide legal support by playing an active role in committees and attendance board meetings
- Discharge specific responsibilities as agreed with the line manager
- Assist the line manager and GC in minimising legal risk in line with the Legal and Company Secretarial Business Standard
- Actively manage the instruction of external lawyers in accordance with the legal outsourcing Protocol to minimise costs.
A strong candidate should have technical expertise in ESMA and FCA rules and regulations such as UCITS, MIFID and AIFMD.
